We look after your information the way we look after your media: carefully, and only for the job you gave us. This notice explains what we collect on this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
When you request a Free Archive Assessment, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, organization and details about your archive. If you add technical details on the second step, we collect those too, for example tape formats, LTO generations, location, phone number, timing and notes.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and protect the site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
On your own device, your browser remembers the work email you entered on the form, so it is filled in for you next time. It stays in your browser and you can clear it with your browser's site data.
How we use it
- To reply to you and prepare your assessment.
- To contact you about your archive, as you agreed on the form.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to stop spam.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
A few service providers process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Our website host, which stores form submissions and server logs.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores the messages we exchange with you.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on this site and receives your IP address when the page loads.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep assessment requests for as long as we need them to work with you, and for our ordinary business records after that. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email sales@metamartis.com and we will respond promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we limit what we collect to what we need.
Children
This site is for businesses and organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update it here and change the date above.
